Welcome to my website!
I am a PhD candidate at University of California - Davis, Department of Political Science. I am interested in the interplay between international trade and environmental policies. I argue that limiting international competition can backfire and undermine support for environmental protection. More broadly, I study how non-trade issues, such as international security and environment, affect international trade, and the trade-off between economy and environment. I strive to pursue a variety of research methods, including quantitative analysis and survey experiments. I graduated from the College of Liberal Studies, at Seoul National University (SNU) in 2015, and received my B.A. in international relations and communications. I received my M.A. in public policy from the Graduate School of Public Administration, at SNU, in 2019. Before coming to the grad school, I have interned at the headquarter of the U.N.E.S.C.O and KOICA as an undergraduate, and worked in the non-profit sector in South Korea for about a year after graduating college. In my free time, I like watching movies (all genres except for horror), collecting books (maybe more so than reading them), and exploring new cafés and bakeries. |
